Front-End Analysis

Learning Technologies and Design Competencies

Designing Online Learning

This project addresses the following competencies:

Goal 2: Front-End Analysis and System Evaluation

Objective 2.1: Students are able to conduct analysis in order to translate and use theoretical frameworks and existing research to design/develop learning opportunities and systems.

Objective 2.2: Students are able to manage and optimize analytics collected by learning and performance systems to develop criteria to measure learning impact and talent development.

The project accomplishes this by demonstrating an analysis of prerequisite tasks needed for an ASK System and then designing the ASK System with the appropriate technology and learner engagement in mind.

The final project for Front End Analysis is an ASK system that was developed to help faculty understand how to prepare for a Quality Matters Peer Review at St Charles Community College. This project was created using Google Sites. The outcomes of the ASK system are to understand the basics of a Quality Matters rubric and its purpose, apply the standards in designing/redesigning their online, hybrid, and remote courses, and discover how they can become internal peer reviewers at the institution. The ASK system is divided into three main segments and goes down three levels.
